Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Wednesday, February 15, 2023)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 25 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 0.66 percent as of Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 20 percent are Lombok Barat (45 percent), Gresik (25 percent), Surabaya City (25 percent), Kendal (22 percent), and Pasuruan City (20 percent).

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in tracing numbers higher than previous days was recorded in one regency/city.

Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Lombok Barat (45 percent), Mataram City (16 percent), and Balikpapan City (15 percent).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
