The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 96 districts/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.04 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Saturday, September 24, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.66 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Minahasa (0.87 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Bengkulu Tengah (0.86 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Kepulauan Selayar (0.73 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Banda Aceh City (0.71 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Kutai Barat (0.66 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. Five districts/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than previously, while 12 districts/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Minahasa (0.87 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Bengkulu Tengah (0.86 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Kepulauan Selayar (0.73 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
