The top five districts/cities with agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 exceeding 0.58 deaths per 100,000 population per week are Fakfak, Tomohon City, Manado City, Bangka, and Minahasa, with respective values of 1.21 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.91 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.69 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.59 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.58 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. Seven districts/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than previously, while five districts/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Fakfak, Tomohon City, and Manado City, with respective rates of 1.21 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.91 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.69 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
