Several districts/cities in North Sumatra province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include North Nias Regency, South Labuhanbatu Regency, and South Nias Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies had only completed 135,630 second doses out of the targeted 626,420 vaccine recipients.
North Nias Regency is ranked first (lowest). As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region was only 18.6%. This is the lowest among the other 33 districts/cities. As for the first dose, 52.7% has been achieved, or 80,560 vaccine recipients, as of yesterday.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 112,310 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in North Nias was 1,155 participants. The current vaccine stock is 93,338 doses.
Next is South Labuhanbatu Regency. For the second dose, this area is ranked second lowest. With a target of 233,670 vaccine recipients, only 21.8% or 51,009 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose achievement is recorded at 63%, or 199,290 vaccine recipients.
Then there is South Nias Regency in third place. With a target of 280,440 vaccine recipients, only 22.7% or 63,718 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in South Nias was 12,965 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 64,524 doses.
Regarding vaccination achievement at the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in North Sumatra has reached 62.18%, or 7.1 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 43.63%, covering 4.98 million vaccine recipients.
