Several districts/cities in West Kalimantan province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Mempawah Regency, Kubu Raya Regency, and Kayong Utara Regency.
As of Sunday, January 30, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 492,830 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the expected target of 740,380 vaccine recipients.
Mempawah Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 63.53% of its vaccination program. This is the lowest rate among the other 14 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 217,120 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this region last week was 1,962 participants. The available vaccine stock is 49,482 doses.
Next is Kubu Raya Regency, which has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a vaccination target of 432,690 participants, this region has achieved 67.38%, or 291,530 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 4,999 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 31,736 doses.
Kayong Utara Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 90,570 participants, this region has achieved 69.94%, or 63,349 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,087 participants. The available vaccine stock is 3,617 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in West Kalimantan has reached 75.1%, covering 2.91 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 53.61%, covering 2.08 million vaccine recipients.
