The All-Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) has announced the Indonesian national team squad to face Vietnam in the upcoming 2026 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, has called up 28 players. The squad is dominated by 13 players based abroad.
Several new naturalized players, including Jay Idzes (Venezia FC), Ragnar Oratmangoen (Fortuna Sittard), Nathan Tjoe-A-On (SC Heerenveen), and Thom Haye (SC Heerenveen), have also been called up. However, the latter three have yet to complete their naturalization process. Nathan only needs to take the Indonesian citizenship oath, while Oratmangoen and Haye's naturalization requests have only been approved by the DPR RI Commission X and Commission III.
Domestic clubs have contributed only one or two of their best players.
The players will gather in Jakarta on Sunday, March 17, 2024, for a training camp before the two matches against Vietnam.
The Indonesian national team is scheduled to host Vietnam in the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers Group F at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on March 21, 2024. Following this, the Garuda team will travel to Hanoi to play The Golden Stars at My Dinh Stadium on March 26, 2024.
