The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 27 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.51 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, January 16, 2023.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization rates, exceeding 2.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Magelang City, Mahakam Ulu, Madiun City, Toli Toli, and Sorong, with respective values of 5.74 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.24 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Eight districts/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than previously, while 18 districts/cities showed lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Mahakam Ulu, Toli Toli, and Sorong, with inpatient utilization rates of 3.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
