The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 74 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.04 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding 0.75 per 100,000 population per week are Majene (1.7 per 100,000 population per week), Madiun City (1.12 per 100,000 population per week), Samosir (0.79 per 100,000 population per week), Sangihe Islands (0.76 per 100,000 population per week), and Kotamobagu City (0.75 per 100,000 population per week).
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. Three regencies/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than previously, while four regencies/cities recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Majene (1.7 per 100,000 population per week), Samosir (0.79 per 100,000 population per week), and Sangihe Islands (0.76 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
