The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 105 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.06 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Monday, October 31, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 exceeding 0.71 deaths per 100,000 population per week are Banggai Laut, Bengkulu Tengah, Banggai Kepulauan, Kepulauan Selayar, and Mamuju Tengah, with respective rates of 1.27, 0.86, 0.84, 0.73, and 0.71 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. Twenty regencies/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than previously, while eight regencies/cities recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Banggai Laut, Bengkulu Tengah, and Banggai Kepulauan, with respective rates of 1.27, 0.86, and 0.84 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
