The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 117 districts/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 3.22 percent as of Monday, August 29, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with tracing rates exceeding 25 percent are Situbondo, Semarang City, Metro City, West Lombok, and Mojokerto City, with values of 32 percent, 27.67 percent, 25.67 percent, 25 percent, and 25 percent respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most districts/cities outside Java. A higher-than-previous daily tracing rate was recorded in 27 districts/cities, while 22 districts/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Metro City, West Lombok, and Simalungun, with tracing rates of 25.67 percent, 25 percent, and 24.43 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
