As of Saturday, May 7, 2022, Riau Province has achieved 98.13% coverage for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 4.75 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 4.84 million people. The second dose vaccination has reached 77.91% of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 32,920 recipients. For the first dose, 32,920 people were vaccinated (138.3% of the target), and for the second dose, 134.31% or 44,220 people were vaccinated.

For public sector workers, the target was 349,420 people. The first dose vaccination reached 399,040 people (114.2% of the target), and the second dose reached 105.69% or 369,310 people.

For the elderly, the target was 322,470 people. The first dose was administered to 235,830 people (73.13% of the target). The second dose reached 54.32% or 175,160 people.

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 3.45 million people. The first dose was administered to 2.77 million people (82.11% of the target). The second dose reached 65.03% or 2.19 million people.

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 684,190 people. The first dose was administered to 688,650 people (100.65% of the target). The second dose reached 83.81% or 573,450 people.
