Teluk Bintuni is the regency with the highest number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases, at 47.73 per 100,000 population/week. The number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in this regency has not improved, showing an increase compared to the previous week, which recorded 18.8 per 100,000 population/week.
The same condition occurred in Fakfak, which recorded 19.39 weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population/week. In this regency, the number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases is also higher than the previous week, which was only 18.18 per 100,000 population/week. Next is Manokwari. This regency in West Papua province recorded 7.38 weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population/week.
Tambrauw and Raja Ampat follow, with recorded weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases of 6.2 per 100,000 population/week and 5.96 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Nationally, the average number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across the 34 provinces is now showing a decrease compared to the previous week, which was 3.85 per 100,000 population/week.
