The top five, starting with the highest number of people tested per week, are Ciamis (996 people), Jepara (976 people), Batam City (968 people), Sukabumi (912 people), and Pekanbaru City (865 people).
Ciamis ranks first, with 996 people tested per week. The latest positive rate is 0.4 percent, lower than the previous week's percentage.
Next is Jepara, which tested 976 people per week in its efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. The positive rate in this region is 6.66 percent, higher than the previous week's ratio.
Batam City recorded 968 tests per week, Sukabumi 912, and Pekanbaru City 865.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 154 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of daily tests in the last week compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 193 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of tests in the last week compared to the previous week.
Outside of Java, some of the regions with the highest number of tests per week include Batam City, Pekanbaru City, and Jambi City, with 968, 865, and 858 people tested per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water.
