The top five, starting with the highest number of specimens examined per week, are Bandung Barat (999 specimens), Demak (972 specimens), Tarakan City (968 specimens), Bojonegoro (934 specimens), and Ambon City (925 specimens).
Bandung Barat ranks first, with 999 specimens examined per week. The latest positive rate is 1.99 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week.
Next is Demak. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 972 specimens were examined per week. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 0 percent, a decrease compared to the previous week's percentage.
Then, Tarakan City, with a population of 267,270, recorded 968 specimens examined per week. Bojonegoro recorded 934 specimens examined per week, and Ambon City, with a population of 484,690, recorded 925 specimens examined per week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 126 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher daily number of specimens examined than before. Meanwhile, 185 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of specimens examined compared to the previous week.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest number of specimens examined include Tarakan City, Ambon City, and South Lampung, with 968, 925, and 907 specimens examined, respectively.
