As of Sunday, January 8, 2023, 68.77 million doses of booster COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Indonesia. This represents 29.3 percent of the national vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 175 doses.
West Java has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationally, with 15.67 million doses administered. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients with 1.61 million doses, followed by Bandung Regency (1.11 million), Bekasi Regency (990,540), Bekasi City (990,230), Cianjur Regency (928,770), and Bandung City (904,490).
East Java is second with 9.25 million doses, with Surabaya City having the highest number of recipients in that province at 1.3 million doses.
Central Java is third with 8.57 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by North Sumatra (3.78 million doses), Banten (3.02 million doses), and Bali (1.96 million doses).
