The Indonesian Ministry of Health recorded that 30,230,233 people in Indonesia had received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of Thursday, August 19, 2021. This number is equivalent to 54.3% of the total recipients of the first dose, which amounted to 55,637,234 people.
Of this number, the first dose vaccination in the country only covers 26.7% of the target of 208,265,720 people. Coverage is only 14.5% of the target for the second dose.
Health workers who received the first dose of the corona vaccine numbered 1,622,338 people, or 110.5% of the target. Of this number, 1,501,857 people, or 102.3% of the target, also received the second dose.
Furthermore, 27,797,880 public officials, or 160.4% of the target, have been injected with the first dose. Then, 17,010,203 people, or 98.2% of the target, received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The number of elderly people who have been vaccinated is recorded as 5,083,907 people for the first dose and 3,558,550 people for the second dose. However, this number is only equivalent to 23.6% and 16.5% of the target.
The general public who received the first dose of the corona vaccine numbered 18,705,853 people, or 13.3% of the target. 7,087,922 of them, or 5% of the target, also received the second dose.
The vaccination program has also allowed children aged 12-17 years to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. The number of children who have been vaccinated for the first dose is 2,427,256 people, or 9.1% of the target, while for the second dose it is 1,071,701 people, or 4% of the target.
