The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 71 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.03 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Sunday, August 7, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.52 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Palangkaraya City, Bintan, West Seram, Maros, and Belitung, with respective values of 0.68, 0.6, 0.58, 0.56, and 0.52 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. However, three regencies/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than before, while 13 regencies/cities recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Palangkaraya City, Bintan, and West Seram, with respective rates of 0.68, 0.6, and 0.58 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
