The top five, starting with the highest number of people tested per week, are Sukabumi (990 people), Ciamis (933 people), Jombang (885 people), Kediri (857 people), and Jambi City (844 people).
Sukabumi ranks first, with 990 people tested per week. The latest positive rate is 1.72 percent, lower than the previous week's ratio.
Next is Ciamis, where 933 people were tested per week in efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. The positive rate in this region is 1.07 percent, higher than the previous week's percentage.
Furthermore, Jombang recorded 885 people tested per week, Kediri 857, and Jambi City 844.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 87 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of people tested daily compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 291 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested compared to the previous week.
Regions outside Java with the highest number of people tested per week include Jambi City, Mimika, and Tarakan City, with 844, 816, and 808 people tested per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
