Several districts/cities in Papua Province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Lanny Jaya Regency, Yahukimo Regency, and Yalimo Regency.
As of yesterday, these three regencies have only completed 5,825 second doses out of the expected target of 435,860 vaccine recipients.
Lanny Jaya Regency is ranked first. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region is only 1.1%, the lowest among the other 29 districts/cities. The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 1.41%, with 3,447 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 129,940 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Lanny Jaya last week was 107 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 1,370 doses.
Next is Yahukimo Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 243,240 vaccine recipients, only 1.42% or 3,454 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 1.88%, with 8,482 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Yahukimo last week was 85 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 3,950 doses.
Yalimo Regency is ranked third. With a target of 62,681 vaccine recipients, only 1.51% or 948 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Yalimo last week was five participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 1,080 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination rate in Papua has reached 30.23%, with 886,440 vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate has reached 22.86%, reaching 670,540 vaccine recipients.
