Top 10 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with the Highest COVID-19 Hospital Bed Occupancy Rate (Saturday, July 23, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 109 districts/cities with Bed Occupancy Rates (BOR) above the national average, currently recorded at 1.9 percent as of Saturday, July 23, 2022.

The top five districts/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 22.22 percent are Manggarai Timur, West Jakarta City, Balangan, Bangli, and Kotabaru, with values of 37.5 percent, 27.23 percent, 26.92 percent, 26.01 percent, and 22.22 percent respectively.

A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR of most districts/cities outside Java. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 70 districts/cities, while 28 districts/cities recorded a lower BOR.

Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Manggarai Timur, Balangan, and Bangli, with BORs of 37.5 percent, 26.92 percent, and 26.01 percent respectively.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
