As of Tuesday, November 1, 2022, the national average testing rate was recorded at 9.23 percent. This testing achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, which is then reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting from the highest weekly percentage of people tested, are Semarang City (221.56%), Semarang Regency (158.53%), Metro City (134.86%), Pakpak Bharat (126.79%), and Lahat (114.52%).
Semarang City ranks first. The weekly percentage of people tested there was recorded at 221.56 percent. The latest positive rate is 5.23 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Semarang Regency. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly percentage of people tested was 158.53 percent. The positive rate in this region was recorded at 1.1 percent, an increase compared to the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, the weekly percentage of people tested in Metro City was recorded at 134.86 percent. Pakpak Bharat, with a population of 52,510, recorded a weekly testing percentage of 126.79 percent. Lahat, with a population of 419,860, recorded a weekly testing percentage of 114.52 percent.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 121 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively reported a higher daily weekly percentage of people tested than before. Meanwhile, 241 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly percentage of people tested compared to the previous week's testing.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest weekly percentage of people tested include Metro City, Pakpak Bharat, and Lahat, with weekly testing percentages of 134.86 percent, 126.79 percent, and 114.52 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
