As of Saturday, December 25, 2021, West Sulawesi Province had achieved 73.08% coverage for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 3.54 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 4.84 million people. The second dose vaccination rate reached 40.43% of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the COVID-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 32,920 recipients. For the first dose, 32,920 people were vaccinated (138.41% of the target), and for the second dose, 131.42% of the target was achieved, or 43,270 people.

For public officials, the target was 349,420 people. The first dose vaccination reached 522,590 people (149.56% of the target), and the second dose reached 135.29% of the target, with 472,740 doses administered.

For the elderly, the target was 322,470 people. The first dose was administered to 164,660 people (51.06% of the target). The second dose reached 25.69% of the target, or 82,850 people.

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 3.45 million people. The first dose was administered to 2.18 million people (64.95% of the target). The second dose reached 30.37% of the target, or 987,910 people.

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 684,190 people. The first dose was administered to 563,050 people (82.29% of the target). The second dose reached 45.29% of the target, or 309,870 doses administered.
