Several districts/cities in West Sulawesi Province still record relatively low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Mamuju Tengah Regency, Polewali Mandar Regency, and Majene Regency.
As of yesterday's data, these three regions have only completed 296,480 second doses out of the expected target of 603,560 vaccine recipients.
Mamuju Tengah Regency is ranked first. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region is only 48.44 percent, the lowest among the six other districts/cities. The first-dose vaccination rate, however, has reached 78.28 percent, or 135,920 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 103,240 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Mamuju Tengah last week was 257 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 14,332 doses.
Next is Polewali Mandar Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 370,050 vaccine recipients, only 48.63 percent, or 179,960 recipients, have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 78.17 percent, or 477,270 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Polewali Mandar last week was 1,300 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 78,471 doses.
Majene Regency is ranked third. With a target of 130,260 vaccine recipients, 51.07 percent, or 66,519 recipients, have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Majene last week was 205 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 11,232 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination rate in West Sulawesi has reached 69.99 percent, or 875,410 vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate has reached 48.38 percent, covering 605,120 vaccine recipients.
