As of Sunday, October 3, 2021, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in North Sumatra province has reached 34.91 percent. This figure is equivalent to 3.99 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 11.42 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 19.96 percent of the target as of yesterday.

Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group has a target of 71,060 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 71,060 people (132.1 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 121.96 percent or 86,660 people were vaccinated.

For public service personnel, the target is 879,800 people. The first dose vaccination has reportedly reached 1.37 million people (155.86 percent of the target), and the second dose has reached 124.46 percent, or 1.1 million people.

For the elderly, the target is 1.09 million people. For the first dose, it has been given to 309,270 people (28.28 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 20.48 percent, or 223,910 people, have been vaccinated.

For the vulnerable general public, the target is 7.79 million people. For the first dose, vaccination has reportedly been given to 2.13 million people (27.74 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 10.84 percent, or 828,230 people, have been vaccinated.

Another target group is adolescents aged 12-17 years. The target in this region is 1.59 million people. For the first dose, it has been given to 51,860 people (3.27 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 1.89 percent, or 30,040 people, have been vaccinated.
