These include difficulties in marketing agricultural products (7.65%); reduced agricultural land (6.78%); difficulty accessing credit (5.76%); difficulty accessing production facilities (3.76%); and agricultural asset theft, output, money, or valuables (3.56%). Other problems totaled 2.9%.

The 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) was conducted in 38 provinces and 514 regencies/cities in Indonesia. The scope of SEP 2024 business units includes individual agricultural businesses (UTP), legally incorporated agricultural companies (UPB), and other agricultural businesses (UTL).

The SEP 2024 sample size comprised 318,340 UTP units, 5,822 UTL units, and 5,831 UPB units. The sub-sectors covered in SEP 2024 are food crops, horticultural crops, plantation crops, livestock, fisheries, and forestry.
