Banten, Province with the Highest Corn Productivity in 2022

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that Indonesia's corn productivity was 57.08 quintals per hectare (ku/ha) in 2022. This figure shows a slight decrease from 2021, which reached 57.09 ku/ha.

Banten was the province with the highest national corn productivity, reaching 76.01 ku/ha in 2022.

West Java ranked second, with corn productivity of 75.23 ku/ha. This was followed by West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) with a productivity of 72.48 ku/ha.

Meanwhile, BPS did not record any corn farming activities in DKI Jakarta last year.

The following is a list of the 10 provinces with the highest corn productivity in Indonesia throughout 2022:

1. Banten: 76.01 ku/ha
2. West Java: 75.23 ku/ha
3. NTB: 72.48 ku/ha
4. Bengkulu: 68.67 ku/ha
5. West Sumatra: 65.73 ku/ha
6. South Sumatra: 65.47 ku/ha
7. North Sumatra: 63.96 ku/ha
8. Lampung: 63.6 ku/ha
9. Jambi: 61.37 ku/ha
10. South Kalimantan: 60.73 ku/ha

According to the farming land used, corn planted in irrigated paddy fields had the highest productivity, reaching approximately 69.25 ku/ha. Corn cultivation in rainfed paddy fields had the lowest productivity, at only 52.71 ku/ha.
