Current Food Prices in West Java: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (5/6/2024) at 11:49 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), farmer-level corn, red chilies, garlic bulbs, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, medium rice, shallots, skipjack tuna, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,050 (2.78%) to Rp38,780 per kg. Shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,190 (2.91%) to Rp39,730 per kg.
