West Java Food Price Update Today: Chicken Price Up, Cooking Oil Price Down (Monday, January 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 09.23 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, granulated sugar, chicken eggs, red chilies, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, pure beef, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Chicken prices saw the highest increase, up by Rp2,640 (7.64%) to Rp37,190 per kg. Simple packaged cooking oil experienced the lowest price decrease, down by Rp1,220 (6.98%) to Rp16,250 per liter.

9. Shallot Bulb: Rp36,260 per kg (up 0.83%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,890 per kg (up 0.04%)
