According to PLN's Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) report received by *Katadata*, the planned development of new and renewable energy (NRE) power plants in Indonesia from 2025 to 2034 reaches 42,569 megawatts (MW).

Finally, the development of solar power plants (SPPs) totals 17,062 MW. 14,818 MW or 87% comes from the private sector. PLN accounts for 2,243 MW or 13%.

In its report, PLN states that it is indeed encouraging private sector participation in the development of electricity infrastructure.
