Household Electricity Consumption in Bali Highest Nationally in 2022

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that in 2022, 99.39% of Indonesian households had access to electricity. This figure represents a 0.18-point increase from the previous year's 99.21%.

Electricity can be sourced from the state-owned electricity company (PLN) and non-PLN sources. Non-PLN electricity uses lighting sources from accumulators/batteries, generators, and solar power plants not managed by PLN.

In 2022, Bali Province had the highest percentage of households with access to electricity nationwide, reaching 99.99%.

West Java, Central Java, and East Java followed with 99.98% each. This was followed by Yogyakarta Special Region (99.96%), West Nusa Tenggara (99.94%), and Jakarta (99.91%).

On the other hand, Papua had the lowest percentage of households with access to electricity nationwide in 2022, at only 79.96%.
