The Indonesian National Police's Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) is implementing restrictions and controls on public movement during the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). These restrictions are spread across 407 points throughout Java and Bali to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
East Java has the highest number of PPKM restriction points, with 161 spread across the province, followed by West Java (106) and DKI Jakarta (60).
Meanwhile, Central Java has 42 restriction points. Banten and Bali follow with 42 and 20 restriction points respectively. The Special Region of Yogyakarta has the fewest restrictions, with only six points in the entire province.
Korlantas Polri will implement mobility restrictions by closing access to and from certain road sections. Mobility control will also be enforced by monitoring public movement through identity checks of drivers, including requiring a Covid-19-free certificate. Vaccination is also a requirement.
Roadblocks will be in place at locations at risk of creating crowds, resulting in closures. Closures will be in effect from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM until the Emergency PPKM ends on July 20, 2021.
