Based on preliminary data from the 2022 Integrated Lebaran Transportation Post, the movement of public transportation passengers on the second day of Lebaran (H2), Tuesday (3/5/2022), increased by 26%. This amounted to 671,540 passengers compared to 531,040 passengers on the first day of Lebaran (H1), Monday (2/5/2022).
Ferry passengers dominated the flow of homecoming travelers from H-7 to H2 of Lebaran 2022.
Here is a breakdown of public transportation passengers during the H2 Lebaran homecoming period (3/5/2022):
* Ferry: 174,987 passengers
* Airplane: 149,016 passengers
* Train: 146,362 passengers
* Bus: 143,361 passengers
* Ship: 57,816 passengers
Similarly, the cumulative movement of homecoming travelers from H-7 to H2 of Lebaran was also dominated by ferry passengers:
* Ferry: 1,946,774 passengers
* Airplane: 1,627,828 passengers
* Bus: 1,209,227 passengers
* Train: 1,002,852 passengers
* Ship: 611,261 passengers
Monitoring of homecoming passenger movement this year was conducted at 111 bus terminals, 16 ferry ports, 51 airports, 110 seaports, and 13 Daop/Divre (Railway Operational Divisions).
The peak of homecoming travel was recorded on H-2 Lebaran (30/4/2022), reaching more than 950,000 passengers, as shown in the graph.
