The number of passengers using the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi (Jabodebek) Light Rail Transit (LRT) has steadily increased during its first week of operation.
From Monday, July 28, 2023, to Sunday, September 3, 2023, the total number of Jabodebek LRT passengers reached 222,800.
Jabodebek LRT Public Relations Manager Kuswardojo stated that the highest number of passengers was recorded on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 41,518 people, and Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 54,117 people, with the busiest station being Dukuh Atas Station.
"Many people used the Jabodebek LRT simply to stroll and fill their leisure time on holidays, wanting to experience firsthand and feel the sensation of riding a driverless train," said Kuswardojo, as quoted from Kompas.com on Tuesday, September 4, 2023.
Kuswardojo added that PT KAI and all other stakeholders are continuously striving to improve existing shortcomings in the Jabodebek LRT service.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We are constantly striving to evaluate and improve existing services and make the Jabodebek LRT a preferred mode of transportation to alleviate traffic congestion for the community in Jabodebek and surrounding areas,” said Kuswardojo.
