Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B. Pandjaitan stated that Indonesia will continue to push for the acceleration of the adoption of battery-based electric motor vehicles (KBLBB).
"We have finalized (the policy regarding KBLBB) at yesterday's Limited Meeting. Next week, the Ministerial Regulation from the Ministry of Finance regarding subsidies and so on should be issued. Hopefully, (it can be announced) in early February," said Coordinating Minister Luhut at the Saratoga Investment Summit 2023 in Jakarta on Thursday (26/1/2023).
"(The subsidy) is approximately Rp 7 million for new electric motorcycles, and everything will be announced later. It will be prioritized for ordinary people," he continued.
