The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) reported that national *wholesale* car sales (factory to dealer distribution) in July 2022 increased by 9.3% to 86,256 units compared to June 2022.
Cumulatively, from January to July 2022, *wholesale* car sales reached 561,287 units. This is also an increase compared to the same period in the previous year, which was only 451,887 units.
Toyota remains the leading car brand in Indonesia. In the first seven months of 2022, Toyota's *wholesale* sales reached 178,787 units, accounting for 31.9% of total national sales.
Daihatsu is in second place with January-July 2022 sales of 106,278 units (18.9%). Following are Honda and Mitsubishi Motors with sales of 72,184 units (12.9%) and 59,319 units (10.6%) respectively.
Suzuki car sales from January to July 2022 totaled 48,880 units (8.7%). Meanwhile, Isuzu and Mitsubishi Fuso sold 20,475 units (3.6%) and 19,530 units (3.5%) respectively.
