Since the first quarter of 2022, global oil prices have shown an upward trend. As a result, the price of fuel in many countries has become increasingly expensive.
In line with this condition, Tesla electric vehicles have become increasingly popular in the market. In the third quarter of 2022, Tesla delivered 343,800 units, a 42% increase year-on-year (YoY).
In the third quarter of 2022, Tesla also recorded revenue of US$21.45 billion, a 56% YoY increase and the highest in the last year.
According to Inside EVs, this increase was strongly influenced by strong demand in several countries such as the United States and China.
"Tesla controls two-thirds of US electric battery vehicle sales this year and its position is strengthening in the premium segment," reported Inside EVs on Tuesday (18/10/2022).
"For Tesla vehicles produced in China, domestic and export sales in September 2022 totaled 83,135 units, a 48% increase from last year," it continued.
A similar upward trend is also seen in several European countries, including Germany. "Registrations of Tesla electric vehicles in Germany jumped almost 50% from the January-September period last year," reported Automotive News Europe on Wednesday (19/10/2022).
