If viewed by manufacturer, BYD led global electric car sales, reaching 4.19 million units throughout 2025.

It was followed by Tesla, which sold 1.63 million units, Geely with 1.26 million units, Wuling with 824,838 units, and Volkswagen with 617,125 units.
