According to a report by the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI), domestic motorcycle sales in April 2024 totaled 419,136 units. Sales volume plummeted 28.19% month-to-month (mtm) compared to the previous month's 583,747 units.

AISI Commercial Division Head Sigit Kumala stated that rising basic commodity prices, particularly in the food sector, are a contributing factor to consumers reducing purchases of secondary goods.

During the same period, sport-type motorcycles contributed 4.73% domestically and 26.78% to exports. Meanwhile, underbone motorcycles contributed 4.80% domestically and 26.89% to exports.
