Central Java's Export Value Grew by 6% in September 2021

Central Java's export value reached US$1,025.66 million in September 2021, according to a report by Statistics Indonesia (Badan Pusat Statistik). This represents a 6% increase compared to the previous month's US$967.60 million and a 40.18% year-on-year (yoy) increase.

The increase in exports in September 2021 compared to the previous month was driven by a rise in non-oil and gas exports. Non-oil and gas exports increased by 8.98%, from US$885.03 million to US$964.49 million.

The largest increase in non-oil and gas export value in September 2021 was in wood and wood products. The value of these exports grew by 12.67% from the previous month, reaching US$12.56 million. This commodity contributed 11.37% to the total non-oil and gas exports during the January-September 2021 period.

Central Java's largest non-oil and gas exports in September 2021 were destined for the United States, Japan, and China, with values of US$394.10 million, US$95.38 million, and US$85.51 million, respectively. These three countries accounted for 56.29% of exports during the January-September 2021 period.

Meanwhile, oil and gas exports decreased by 25.92%, from US$82.57 million to US$61.17 million. This decrease was due to a decline in oil product exports; there were no exports of gas, natural gas, or crude oil during the same month.
