In December 2024, Jakarta Province recorded a total export volume of 286,520 tons. For exports categorized under SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) code 77 (electrical machinery, apparatus, and appliances), the province recorded a decrease to 4.06 million tons in December 2024.
This decline in exports contributed to a decrease in foreign exchange reserves and the total export value, which had previously been on an upward trend for the past five months. According to Bank Indonesia (BI) records, exports from the province in the same period the previous year were recorded at 4.03 million tons.
Jakarta's customs import documents recorded 22 export categories. These goods are grouped into 2-digit SITC codes. The export category with the highest volume was SITC code 85 (footwear and other footwear articles).
Over the past 15 months, the highest export volume from Jakarta was recorded in July 2024 at 4.5 million tons, while the lowest was in April 2024 at 2.61 million tons.
