Export value of SITC code 07 commodities (coffee, tea, cocoa, spices) from South Sumatra Province in November 2024 reportedly decreased to US$4.42 million.
This decline in export value contributed to a decrease in foreign exchange reserves and total export value, which had previously been on an upward trend for the past five months. Bank Indonesia (BI) reported that the previous monthly export value in November 2023 was higher, at US$5.29 million.
Based on import customs documents, South Sumatra recorded 19 commodity groups exported from the province. These commodities are grouped into 2-digit SITC codes. The commodity group with the highest export value was coal, coke, and briquettes with SITC code 32.
Based on the historical data for the past 12 months, the highest export value from South Sumatra was recorded in September 2024 at US$5.79 million, while the lowest was in June 2024 at US$72,790.
