December 2024 Export Volume of Paper, Paperboard, and their Processed Products from Riau Province

In December 2024, Riau Province recorded a total export volume of 2.08 million tons. Exports of paper, paperboard, and articles thereof (SITC code 64) from the province in December 2024 decreased to 232.28 million tons.

This decline in export value continues the downward trend observed over the past five months. According to Bank Indonesia (BI) records, exports from the province during the same period the previous year totaled 224.64 million tons.

Riau's customs import documents recorded 21 export commodity groups categorized using 2-digit SITC codes. The commodity group with the highest export volume was SITC code 85, footwear and other footwear articles.

Historical data over the past 15 months shows that Riau's highest export volume was recorded in November 2024 at 270.69 million tons, while the lowest was in January 2024 at 183.95 million tons.
