Main Products Exported from Indonesia to the Philippines in 2023

Indonesia recorded exports to the Philippines of US$11.04 billion as of December 2023. This value dropped drastically by 14.44% compared to the previous year's exports, which were recorded at US$12.9 billion.

Looking at Indonesia's trade track record with the Philippines, exports over the last 10 years have been on an upward trend. Indonesia's lowest export value was US$3.89 billion, while the highest export value reached US$12.9 billion.

3. Edible preparations

Ranked third is edible preparations under HS code 21. Indonesia exported US$600.15 million worth of these products to the Philippines. Trademap data shows that Indonesia exports edible preparations to 4 countries. Exports of edible preparations to this country are the largest. The other five major exporting countries of edible preparations are the United States, China, Germany, the United Kingdom and France.

4. Ores, slag and ash

Indonesia also recorded significant exports of ores, slag and ash to the Philippines. The export value of this product in 2023 was US$526.02 million. This figure increased compared to the previous period, which was recorded at US$455.51 million. Currently, the Philippines remains the largest destination for Indonesia's exports of ores, slag and ash. Besides this country, the five largest export destinations for Indonesia's ores, slag and ash are China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Germany and Afghanistan.

5. Animal, vegetable or microbial fats and oils and their cleavage products

Another exported product is animal, vegetable or microbial fats and oils and their cleavage products, with an export value of US$459.48 million. This export value was lower than the previous period, which had reached US$695.97 million. Currently, the Philippines remains the largest destination for Indonesia's exports of these fats and oils and their products. Besides this country, the five largest export destinations for Indonesia's animal, vegetable or microbial fats and oils and their cleavage products are Ship and bunker stores, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Sint Maarten (Dutch part) and Slovakia.
