Indonesia's trade balance with New Caledonia showed a surplus of US$14.55 million in 2020. This trade balance value increased by 29.19% compared to the previous year's balance, which was recorded at US$11.26 million.
This positive trade balance, according to Trademap data, was supported by Indonesia's export value, which reached US$14.56 million. This value is higher than Indonesia's imports from New Caledonia, which were recorded at US$17,000.
Indonesia's exports to New Caledonia have been on an upward trend in the last year. The previous year's export value was US$11.41 million.
Meanwhile, imports, according to Trademap data, decreased by 88.82% compared to the previous year, which was recorded at US$0.15 million.
Based on product type, there were 10 main export products from Indonesia to New Caledonia that recorded a surplus during 2020. The total value of these main exports reached US$13.19 million.
