West Sumatra Province recorded a total export volume of 359,110 tons in November 2024. For exports categorized under SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) code 42, vegetable oils and fats, exports from the province in November 2024 decreased to 166.34 million tons.
This decline in export value contributed to a decrease in foreign exchange reserves and the total export value, which had previously been on an upward trend for the past five months. According to Bank Indonesia (BI) records, exports from this province in the same period the previous year were recorded at 197.61 million tons.
West Sumatra's import customs documents recorded 20 groups of goods exported from the province. These goods are grouped into 2-digit SITC codes. The group with the highest export volume was SITC code 66, non-metallic mineral products.
