Export Volume of SITC Coking Coal and Briquettes from South Kalimantan Province, July-December 2024

South Kalimantan Province recorded a total export volume of 14.85 million tons in December 2024. However, exports of coal, coke, and briquettes (SITC code 32) decreased to 14.73 billion tons in December 2024.

This decline in export value contributed to a decrease in foreign exchange reserves and the total export value, which had previously been on an upward trend for the past five months. According to Bank Indonesia (BI) records, exports from this province in the same period the previous year were recorded at 16.23 billion tons.

South Kalimantan's customs import documents recorded 21 export commodity groups. These commodities are grouped into 2-digit SITC codes. The commodity group with the highest export volume was coal, coke, and briquettes (SITC code 32).

Over the past 15 months, the highest export volume from South Kalimantan was recorded in October 2024 at 16.33 billion tons, while the lowest was in July 2024 at 11.05 billion tons.
