2023 Qatar MotoGP Classification: Di Giannantonio Overtakes Bagnaia

The 2023 MotoGP race in Qatar concluded at the Losail Circuit in the early hours of Monday, November 20, 2023, WIB. Defending champion Francesco Bagnaia failed to secure first place.

The rider, known as Pecco, finished second, 2.734 seconds behind the winner, Di Giannantonio. The Gresini Racing rider was the fastest, completing the race with a time of 41 minutes 43.654 seconds.

Bagnaia nearly won the race in Qatar, but he couldn't catch Giannantonio and almost crashed while attempting to overtake his compatriot.

This marks Di Giannantonio's first win in the premier class. Previously, his best result was third place at the 2023 Australian MotoGP.

Despite settling for second place in this race, Bagnaia remains firmly at the top of the 2023 MotoGP standings with 437 points.

His rival, Jorge Martin, finished 10th and only added 2 points, bringing his total to 416 points. This creates a significant 21-point gap between the two riders.

The determination of the 2023 MotoGP champion is yet to be decided, as one more race remains in Valencia, Spain, on November 26, 2023.

Marco Bezzecchi and Brad Binder remained in third and fourth place, respectively. These riders have 326 points and 268 points, respectively.
