Central Java Province recorded a total export volume of 281,460 tons in October 2024. However, for exports categorized under SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) code 59 (other chemical products), the province saw a decrease to 7.01 million tons in October 2024.
This decline in exports contributed to a decrease in foreign exchange reserves and the total export value, which had previously been on an upward trend for the past five months. This figure is lower than the same period two years prior, which recorded 7.16 million tons. According to Bank Indonesia (BI) records, exports from the province in the same period the previous year were 7.16 million tons.
Central Java's customs import documents recorded 21 export commodity groups. These goods are grouped into 2-digit SITC codes. The commodity group with the highest export volume was SITC code 63 (wood and cork products).
Over the past 43 months, Central Java's highest export volume was recorded in October 2023 at 12.35 million tons, while the lowest was in January 2021 at 3.02 million tons.
