Star-rated Hotel Room Occupancy in Indonesia Increased in November 2025

According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the room occupancy rate (ROR) of star-rated hotels in Indonesia reached 53.89% in November 2025.

This figure marks the highest achievement since early 2025, as shown in the graph.

However, compared to November last year, the figure decreased by 1.07 percentage points.

Pudji Ismartini, Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics at BPS, revealed that the highest star-rated hotel ROR in November 2025 was in South Papua, at 63.31%.

"This was driven by the provincial sports week held in South Papua," Pudji said during a press conference on Monday (January 5, 2026).

It was followed by East Kalimantan and DKI Jakarta, which achieved star-rated hotel RORs of 63.01% and 62.03%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the lowest star-rated hotel ROR was in Bangka Belitung Islands, at only 29.50%. This was followed by Aceh with 31.27% and Highland Papua with 37.49%.

The average length of stay for guests at star-rated hotels in Indonesia in November 2025 was 1.63 nights.

By nationality, foreign guests stayed for an average of 2.64 nights, while domestic guests stayed for 1.51 nights.
