The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) compiled the Information and Communication Technology Development Index (ICT) scores for all provinces in Indonesia in 2022. Based on this assessment, DKI Jakarta achieved the highest ICT Development Index score with 7.64 points out of a scale of 0-10.

However, DKI Jakarta's 2022 achievement represents a decrease from its 2021 score of 7.66 points.

The BPS classified the assessment as follows: high (7.51-10 points); medium (5.01-7.50 points); low (2.51-5.00 points); and very low (0-2.50 points).

"Most provinces fell into the medium sub-index group in both 2021 and 2022," wrote the BPS.

The BPS stated that East Nusa Tenggara moved from the low category in 2021 to the medium category in 2022, with its score rising from 5.00 to 5.13 points.

Papua remained in the low ICT Development Index category during 2021-2022, scoring 3.35 and 3.22 points respectively.

Indonesia's average score reached 5.85 points in 2022, up from 5.76 points in 2021.
